Privacy Policy

The short version: ClearFigure calculators run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the financial information you enter into our tools. We have no accounts, no login, and no tracking of individual users.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
ClearFigure does not collect:
- Your income, salary, or tax information
- Financial data you enter into any calculator
- Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or any personal financial identifiers
- Names, email addresses, or contact information (unless you voluntarily provide it)
- Precise geolocation data
All calculations are performed client-side in your web browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter never leave your device. We cannot see, access, or recover any financial inputs you type into our calculators.
2. Information We DO Collect
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics (provided by Vercel, our hosting provider) to understand aggregate usage patterns — such as which pages are visited most, what countries visitors come from, and general traffic trends. This data is:
- Aggregated and anonymized (we cannot identify individual visitors)
- Not sold to or shared with third parties
- Used only to improve the Service
Server Logs
Like all web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web request information including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps. These logs are maintained by Vercel according to their privacy policy and are not used by ClearFigure to track individual users.
3. Cookies
ClearFigure uses minimal cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., Vercel deployment cookies). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Used by Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. No personal data is collected.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services that build user profiles.
4. Third-Party Services
ClearFigure uses the following third-party services:
- Vercel: Website hosting and analytics. Vercel Privacy Policy
- Supabase: Database for caching public financial rate data (mortgage rates, I Bond rates, etc.). No user data is stored in our database. Supabase Privacy Policy
We do not share, sell, or transfer any user data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose.
5. Data Sources
Financial data displayed on ClearFigure (tax brackets, interest rates, CPI data, etc.) is sourced from public government APIs and publications. See our Methodology page for a complete list of data sources. This data is publicly available and does not contain any personal information.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
